How to Prepare a Mushroom Spore Syringe

The mushroom spore syringe is an essential tool for mycologists and amateur mycologists. The syringe contains 10 mL of sterile water, which you can use to inoculate a quart of substrate. Using a scalpel, scrape off the spore print and place it in the water. You will need to repeat this process several times to achieve the desired amount of fungi. Once you have the desired amount of fungi, insert the syringe and start the flowering process.

The spore syringe is filled with a small quantity of water. You must make sure that the spore syringe is completely sterile before use. Then, you should dunk the syringe tip into the jar and leave it overnight. Do not open the jar during this time because it can lead to contamination. You can store the spore syringe in the fridge for two to three days. Once you have finished inoculating your substrate, the syringe should be sealed and stored in an airtight zip baggie in the fridge for up to 12 months.

Once the syringe has been prepared, it should be stored in a refrigerator at 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. The spores will last approximately six to twelve months if properly preserved. However, if the spores are not growing, you can rehydrate them by soaking them in sterile water for 24 hours. If you do not need to use the syringe immediately, you should store it in a refrigerator for at least three months.

During the preparation process, you should wash the syringe and the water. It should be sterile and should not contain any contaminants. The syringe should be capped immediately. To prevent contamination, the spores should be allowed to hydrate overnight. The syringe should be refrigerated for at least 24 hours. Once the spores are hydrated, it is time to use the mushroom syringe.

Once the spore syringe has been prepared, place it into the water and shake the bottle to mix the Mushroom spores syringe. Then, place the syringe tip into the water. Then, drop the syringe into the glass and repeat the process a few times. Ensure that the spores are evenly distributed throughout the water. Afterwards, you can leave the syringe at room temperature for about two to three days. Once the syringe is ready for use, store it in an airtight ziplock bag in your fridge. If you are not using it right away, it will stay viable for up to 12 months.

The mushroom spore syringe should be sterile. Before using it, ensure that the syringe is free of any residues. The mushroom syringe is available in different sizes and should be kept in a cool place. The syringe should be stored between 2-8°C. During the next twelve months, it should be used.
